Jose Aldo competed on the mat in a Jiu-jitsu tournament after more than a decade focused on his mixed martial arts career, but came up short.
Competing in the lightweight (169 pounds) division at the Master International IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Saturday morning, the former UFC featherweight champion won two matches by advantages, but suffered a defeat to Antonio Crivelari in the quarterfinals (3-1 in advantages).
